Heather Kropf has forged a reputation as a talented, dedicated songwriter and performer, producing albums with attention to subtle and spacious detail. Her training in classical piano shines through as she deftly weaves Americana and jazz influences into indie pop songs. Her live shows are notable for immersing her listeners into a mesmerizing world that captures the complexity of modern life and the awakened soul.
Heather's latest album Lights, produced and mixed by Lex Price, explores themes of rejuvenation and loss, and coping with the increasing fragility of the world. Price assembled musicians including Ian Fitchuk, Tim Young, Steve Moore, and Joshua Grange, who rendered her evocative language and well-sculpted melodies with a richer, more luminous and sonically arresting pallet than previous efforts. Lights was nominated for Top Entertainment + Media Project of the Year (2018) by the Creative Industries Network.
Prior to the pandemic, Heather toured nationally with her two-woman show "We Know There Are Oceans" created with writer and performer Michelle Milne. She is currently on sabbatical to treat chronic health issues and, when able, working on new material.
